Stamp duty deadline stampede

Ultra-modern Brixton development close to sell out in the next seven days ..

Editorial Team | 6th January, 2021

Just one week after the launch of the show apartment at Two Three Seven Brixton Hill, leading South London Developer, Tailored Living Solutions are reporting over 50% of apartments have already sold at the sought-after development.

The bulk of purchases were first-time buyers eager to beat the upcoming Stamp Duty and Help to Buy deadlines, in order to benefit from dual savings under the government schemes. Prices for the remaining loft-style apartments start from £450,000 with Help-to-Buy available.

This is the developer’s second quick selling development, after their scheme on Greenwich High Road sold out in just short of two months after launching in the summer. Both developments are at the forefront of 21st century living and have a host of high-tech sustainable features rarely found in Help-to-Buy developments, including the Wondrwall home automation system, Bitcon secure audio/visual entry system and NOX filters throughout the building to improve air quality.

Josh Chadd, Managing Director at Tailored Living Solutions commenting on the popularity of the development and show room launch: “Our Greenwich High Road development proved to be immensely popular over the summer and we are delighted with the success so far at Two Three Seven Brixton Hill. Greenwich and Brixton are fantastic areas for first-time buyers and high-quality modern apartments such as these are in high demand.

“The weekend of the launch of the show apartment we held around twenty socially-distanced viewings, now a week later, over half have been snapped up. The location, exceptional features and green spaces nearby are exactly what first-time buyers are after.

“Potential first-time buyers not affected too badly by the crisis have been able to work from home, save on travel and going out, increasing their savings in order to meet the 5% deposit. I would urge anyone who is looking to act now in order to ensure they beat the March deadline and take advantage of the Stamp Duty savings of up to £15,000.”

The development is ideally situated close to the centre of Brixton, the creative hub of South London. Bustling Brixton Market remains at the heart of the community, whilst Brixton Village and Pop Brixton are packed full of restaurants, street food vendors and bars. Nearby Brockwell Park is a resident’s favourite, providing views of the City and Central London skyline, the ever-popular Brockwell Lido and over 50 hectares of green open space, perfect for exercising or strolls in the sun.

Josh Chadd, commenting on what sets Two Three Seven Brixton Hill apart from other developments: “The host of sustainable high-tech features are a real draw to a younger generation, especially as we switch to remote working. Not only do they benefit from savings on bills thanks to the Wonderwall system and smart meters, but also have an environment they can comfortably work from home using the lightning-fast internet.

“Our aim for Two Three Seven Brixton Hill was to introduce loft-style living, putting our own spin on the style from New York. Every apartment has high-ceilings, clean geometric lines and excellent natural light. The dual aspect, open-plan layouts are excellent for maximising light and space throughout the apartments.”

Designed to maximise natural light in every room, floor-to-ceiling windows are present in the front and rear-facing apartments, whilst each room benefits from large windows that have been double or triple-glazed to minimise noise pollution. The front-facing apartments benefit from wide balconies, which function as an extension of the living spaces, whilst the homes at the rear include Juliet balconies.

Purchasers at Two Three Seven Brixton Hill also benefit from private access to the secret garden and hidden within is a series of spectacular landscapes by iconic graffiti artist Jimmy C, best known for his memorial to Brixton’s most famous resident, David Bowie.

One reason why Brixton is so popular with first-time buyers and families is its excellent transport links. Two Three Seven Brixton Hill is located in walking distance of both Brixton Underground, for Victoria Line access, and Streatham Hill train station for direct services into Clapham Junction and Victoria. Or alternatively residents can choose to cycle into Clapham Junction and Victoria in 17 and 25 minutes respectively. There are also a number of bus routes to transport hubs, such as London Bridge, Euston and Liverpool Street.

A dedicated show apartment is situated within the development and available for socially distanced viewings through sole agents Acorn.
