One of Southbank Place’s tallest and most striking landmark buildings, is set to launch its first in-situ show apartment. The fully dressed unit has been designed by multi award-winning interior design studio, Elicyon and will offer prospective purchasers the opportunity to experience life at one of London’s prime addresses. Prices for the final upper floor apartments left to purchase at One Casson Square start from £3.8 million, whilst the show apartment is available for £4.25 million.

The three-bedroom show apartment is situated on the 31st floor and features wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows offering uninterrupted vistas of the magnificent London skyline, with each room designed to maximise direct views onto the River Thames, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and City of London.

Taking inspiration from the South Bank’s industrial heritage, Elicyon has incorporated materials, textures and colours that speak to the local area’s history as a vibrant hub of natural craft and art. The apartment features a range of bespoke furniture pieces and specially commissioned artwork, such as a striking handmade geometric woven cord piece by UK artist Jo Elbourne, which is a nod to the weaving industry once prominent on this stretch of the River Thames. Other accessories include earthy coloured artisanal sculptures and natural materials such as agate rocks which provide grounding qualities.

The colour palette has been chosen to create a warm and welcoming ambience, combining soft neutral colours, autumnal burnt oranges and ochres, flashes of gold and calming dark teal. Rich woven and natural textures have been used throughout the apartment, alongside sumptuous velvet and eye-catching leather.

The furniture pieces are truly impactful, yet also comfortable and liveable. They include a striking marble and oak console table in the hallway by a Portuguese maker and a bespoke blonde timber dining table featuring bold golden spheres breaking up the solid legs, designed in-house by the Elicyon team.

The living space also includes two statement curved sofas upholstered with beautiful light cream fabric and a dark base plinth; perfectly positioned for owners to sit and look out across some of the finest views of the city skyline. Completing the living space is a hand-knotted, Himalayan wool and bamboo silk rug in neutral tones.

Brian De’ath, Director of Residential Sales at Southbank Place, comments: “The launch of the first in-situ show apartment is an exciting next step for One Casson Square. With only a small number of apartments remaining, the opening of the show apartment is crucial to showcase the level of quality and finish on offer at the development.

“The show apartment designed exclusively by the Elicyon team also adds an extra level to what is available to purchasers here. The bespoke designs really bring out the special aspects of the remaining upper floor apartments.”

Charu Gandhi, Founder & Director of Elicyon comments, “When designing the show apartment for One Casson Square, we wanted to create a striking yet welcoming and comfortable space.

“Our design approach for the apartment is firmly anchored in its very special South Bank and Thames-side location and in the site’s rich heritage. We wanted to subtly reference the vibrancy, eclecticism and culture of the area and its history as the home of woollen cloth manufacturing, potting and weaving. This inspired our considered selection of textured artworks and bespoke furniture; our choice of dressings and fabrics featuring contemporary weaving techniques and the warm, neutral palette used throughout.’

Developed by Braeburn Estates – a joint venture partnership between Qatari Diar and Canary Wharf Group – One Casson Square coupled with neighbouring building Thirty Casson Square, are sleek towers clad in stone designed by leading London based architectural firm, Squire and Partners.

Residents benefit from exclusive access to a 18,000 sq. ft. health and fitness facility, designed in the style of a five-star hotel spa by interior specialists; Goddard Littlefair. This is a flexible space providing business facilities, meeting facilities, relaxation space, screening room and multi-function area. Southbank Place is one of London’s best located developments within comfortable walking distance to some of the city's most popular landmarks and iconic green spaces. Residents also enjoy excellent transport links, with direct access into Waterloo Station, which is serviced by the Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo Underground lines, as well as rail services to the South and South West of England.
